What kind of work does Powers do?
All types of fencing, concrete flatwork and stamped concrete, decks, pergolas and covered patios, plus light land clearing and material delivery or removal with our own excavator and dump trailer.
What areas does Powers serve?
Mostly South King and Pierce counties, including Lake Tapps, Bonney Lake, Buckley, Auburn, Puyallup, Enumclaw, Black Diamond, Sumner, South Hill, Tacoma, Kent, Covington, Maple Valley, Algona and Pacific.
What are your hours?
Typical hours are 9 AM to 5 PM, but schedules depend on the job. You can call (253) 545-1223 anytime.
Is Powers a registered Washington contractor?
Yes. Washington contractor registration: POWERGC744C3. Washington UBI: 606 033 397.
How much does a new fence cost?
It depends on the length, height, material, number of gates, removal of any old fence, and the ground along the fence line. Powers does not publish set prices; call or send the details through the estimate form for a quote on your project.
Do I need a permit for a fence, deck or covered patio?
It depends on where you live and the size of the project. Fence height limits and permit rules are set by each city and by King or Pierce County for unincorporated areas, and decks and roofed structures are more likely to need a permit. Check with your city or county permit office, and bring it up when you talk with Ruark.
Can you remove my old fence or haul away debris?
Yes. Powers owns an excavator and a dump trailer and offers material removal, so tear-out and haul-away can be included in the job when it is part of the scope.
Do you do stamped concrete?
Yes. Along with standard flatwork such as patios, walkways, pads and steps, Powers does specialty finishes including stamped concrete.
What should I send for an estimate?
Include the project location, approximate linear feet or dimensions, whether it is new, replacement or repair work, desired timing, and photos when available.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Powers General Contracting LLC is licensed and insured, and registered with Washington L&I as a contractor (Reg. POWERGC744C3).
